We see a Daemon that is ready to do anything to prove his feelings for Katy. Daemon saved Katy’s life after she risked it all to prove once and for all she is not a liability and that our homeboy had been wrong about her all along. I mean every single page is so perfect and this might be my love of the book for over five years, but every single time I do a reread I fall in love with the story even more. Obviously there are going to be some spoilers from Obsidian so if you have yet to read book one, go back read it and come back so we can discuss this.

Onyx is one of those rare second books in a series that blows your mind and is almost better than the first book. I mean that description should be enough to intrigue you, shouldn’t it? What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them-from me? And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own.

If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. SOMETHING WORSE THAN ARUM HAS COME TO TOWN So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. The story picks up right where Obsidian is left and is such an amazing story that if Obsidian didn’t convince you to continue the series, Onyx will. Yes, it’s me with another book talk from one of my favorite books from one of my favorite authors, JLA.Īs I mentioned in the previous book talk from book one (Obsidian), I’m doing a reread of my favorite series of all time, the Lux series and I want to take you on this journey with me.
